GenieBuilder is an Agentic Workflow IDE: a standalone desktop workspace that combines multi-provider chat, visual workflow automation, task management, and a built-in code editor.

The Builder app owns the full workspace flow: explorer, code editor, task views, chat tabs, and MCP tool execution. That makes it a strong fit for task-driven workflows where planning, implementation, and review need to stay visible at the same time.

At the heart of GenieBuilder is an agentic workflow engine that lets you assign different models from different providers to individual workflow nodes. Mix frontier models like Claude, GPT, and Gemini with locally-hosted models via Ollama, all within a single workflow. This best-of-breed LLM orchestration means each step in your workflow pipeline uses the model best suited for the job, whether that's a reasoning-heavy node powered by a cloud model or a fast local model handling simple transformations.

We've been dogfooding GenieBuilder to build GenieBuilder itself. With close to 400 tasks completed, using a variation of the Implement, Review, Fix Issues workflow to develop new features has been a seamless experience, and a great validation that the tool delivers on its promise.

This documentation site will track product capabilities, setup instructions, and the evolution of the standalone desktop experience.

Expectation: the age of the IDE is over. Reality: we're going to need a bigger IDE (imo).
